Analysis is vital. Knowledge is power. Never has a market existed without it. By understanding the movements of the market, you not only have a greater chance of wealth yourself, but also understand the machinery of our society.
Crypto is no different, but comes with a twist — arcane UI, new technologies, and poor observation tools are a problem that’s not going away anytime soon, no matter how hard people try. That’s without even contemplating the novel nature of distributed ledger technologies and the adolescent market in which they operate, with its vertiginous price swings as enthusiasts, inventors and investors plough capital and effort in random abandon as they try to find the next big thing.
Glint: Making Analytics Easy
Glint Analytics is on a mission to give everyone the tools to perform blockchain analytics whilst creating a shared community platform on which analysts can profit from their work over the long term. Glint lets any analyst, of any skill level, discover, create, and share their analytics dashboards, where they earn tokens autonomously paid out by the Glint smart contract for doing so. Moreover, these rewards are consistent over the long term, creating passive residual income for great analysis that users keep returning to,
It makes a change from the current bounty system that dominates the modern analytics market, where analysis is petitioned for and hundreds of analysts all attempt to do the same work to win the bounty, all of which is reactive to a trend that may already have happened. Great analysts are seldom motivated to keep producing great work except in response, with proactive analysis only bringing street cred.
Of course, that analysis often makes its performers wealthy (if they had capital to truly yolo on their discovery), but if it does — they rarely want to keep doing analysis and sharing it, often instead preferring to strictly see it as a solo hobby. Great consistent analysts are hard to find and, where they are, they almost immediately get sequestered into the private sector and their insights lost to everyone involved in crypto.
Glint: Making Analytics Profitable
Glint reverses that paradigm, its system encourages proactive analytics and hobbyists to post their work and see long term residual benefit from what they do. Rather than simply analysing ultra hot meme trends and the vulnerability of their LPs, or day-to-day exchange outflow for BTC that everyone wants to know, they can explore macro trends, do deep dives on multiple protocols in entire use-case sectors, and explore early activity on the new emergent ‘gen 3’ blockchains that are making DLTs have greater throughput than ever before, making proactive analysis a priority.
Glint allows all users to query blockchains using natural language, and with no prior SQL knowledge. Those who are curious about what discoveries they could make and edges they could find leafing through blockchain explorers here can do it with Glint easier than ever before. Glint’s data workflow tools make transforming insights into beautiful and easy-to-understand visuals simple, with customizable charts and drag and drop graphics placement. Hobby and expert analysts alike can make and post analytics to their dashboard, receive likes and shares, and get paid.
Glint: Making Analytics On-Chain
Glint does this by minting analytics dashboards as NFTs on-chain. When that dashboard is interacted with, those actions are recorded and are used to pay out $GLNT tokens in accordance to the weighting of votes. How these are rewarded is governed by the Glint DAO, of which all Glint holders are a member. The reward contract itself is run independently on the blockchain so users can see how rewards are paid and to who. Early Glint holders will also be able to vote on alpha and beta- testing on the Glint protocol.
As well as rewarding creators continuously through the smart contract, Glint will also let individuals stake their $GLNT towards a particular creator analyst’s pool. Analysts can set specific access requirements to their pool, and in doing so create a parallel to a subscriber model on-chain where they can give work for free but then also have exclusive analytics content for those who stake in and believe in their work.
Analysts receive even more reward from the Glint contract in proportion to how much $GLNT is staked on their individual creator dashboards. It’s all about creating a thriving, interconnected analytics community where true insight is rewarded handsomely and fairly, whilst giving rise to a long-tail reward stream for hobby analysts doing key work on the sidelines.
Glint: Making Analytics Gasless
Best of all, all this activity will be gas free. Glint has preloaded an ETH contract to pay for all user transactions using the Glint dApp to provide the best new user experience and to make being an analyst trawling the blockchain explorer for profitable insights easier than it has ever been before. This ‘gas tank’ will be fuelled by payments received by Glint for the paid tier service.
Although Glint’s core service will remain free forever, and initially all features will be available, over time more advanced features will shift behind paid tiers to help fuel the tank and ensure analytics is gasless for everyone. Tier 1, which is forever free, will contain the Glint no-code query and analytics tooling, workflow tools, and up to 20 watermarked exports a month. Tier 2 allows for 100 exports, CSV downloads, while also giving 10 free subscriptions to specialist creators, and Tier 3 gives unlimited everything and early access to new Glint tools.
Think of the Future
Glint’s mission is to make analysis both easy to understand and do, and natural to find and to profit from. By deobfuscating blockchain analytics as a practice and letting anyone dive into the wonderful world of on-chain data. Not only is it interesting, it’s rewarding. Understanding the market before it understands itself is the whole point of trading, and you won’t get anywhere without knowing what you’re doing. Traders drawn to Glint’s broad analytics canvas with proactive insights will grow a flourishing community of analysts who get rewarded for the essential work they do. Glint is making analysis easy, available and valuable to everyone, so why not think about it.
